Service description
Experiments carried out on different solid fuels (wood, peat, pellets, refuse-derived fuel, paper, agricultural wastes, barbecue charcoal, etc.) to determine its quality and characteristics:
– Ash content
– Determination of moisture
– Determination of gross calorific value by calorimetric bomb method
– Determination of volatile matter
– Determination of sulfur bonding forms
– Determination of mechanical durability of pellets
– Particle size analysis by sieving
– Determination of fixed carbon
– Testing of self-heating substances – self-ignition temperature
Laboratory in Department of Energy Technology is accredited and has competence in fuel analyses, thermal engineering and conducting air emission measurements.
